In the first full week of District Meetings,Indiana Youth Soccer staff met with members from Northwest Indiana (Districts 1, 2), Southern Indiana (Districts 19, 20), South Central and Western Indiana (Districts 8,15,16), Indy South and Columbus areas (Districts 9,13,17,18). Tonight's district meeting will be held in the Lafayette area (District 5).
District meetings are held in a round table discussion format giving everyone an opportunity to share ideas, discuss challenges and shape the future of soccer in Indiana. Meeting attendees included club administrators, directors of coaching, referees, district commissioners, coaches and parents. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
Following a basic agenda built around broad topics designed to spark discussion, all participants are encouraged to give feedback, relate experiences and ask questions of the staff and each other. This meeting of the minds format encouraged conversation and cooperation.
There is still time to attend a District Meeting!

Since 2001, the Indiana Youth Soccer President, staff and district commissioners have conducted meetings in multiple locations throughout the state once a year. The purpose of these district meetings is to allow the members in the district to meet the Indiana Youth Soccer officers and staff and to discuss matters important to their district without having to travel great distances.
Indiana Youth Soccer uses these meetings to communicate important and pending news along with current membership issues. This is the best opportunity to hear first hand about new policies, opportunities and changes being discussed at Board of Director meetings and matters that affect the membership. This is a great opportunity to meet the Indiana Youth Soccer staff and to provide comments, feedback and suggestions.
