| Indiana Youth Soccer Welcomes Four New Clubs to Membership |

Indiana Youth Soccer would like to welcome four new clubs to membership: Carmel Dads' Club, Indy Futbol-Soccer, Martin County Youth Soccer and North Judson San Pierre Soccer League.
Carmel Dads' Club Indiana Youth Soccer welcomes Carmel Dads’ Club in District 11 as a new affiliate member of Indiana Youth Soccer. Carmel Dads’ Club is based in Carmel, Indiana, and their newly established Recreational Plus soccer program will serve both boys and girls.
Carmel Dads’ Club was founded in 1959 to foster the development of youth in sports-related programs; to build self-esteem, physical fitness, respect, and achievement through a diverse level of sports. The Club provides inclusive involvement of members by demonstrating a caring organization; one that is modeled around sportsmanship, fair play, and participant safety; an organization that builds effective citizenship in members through trust, active communication, and enthusiasm.
In their first season with Indiana Youth Soccer, Carmel Dads’ Club will offer a fall and spring Recreational Plus soccer program, beginning with ages U13-U14, to build on the club’s existing recreational soccer program. Club leadership believes the added benefits of Indiana Youth Soccer membership will help develop a Rec Plus program, offering an intermediary level of soccer between Recreational and Premier levels of play. Carmel Dads’ Club teams will participate in the NCRSL Rec+ League based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Indy Futbol-Soccer Indiana Youth Soccer welcomes Indy Fútbol-Soccer in District 9 as a new affiliate member of Indiana Youth Soccer. Indy Fútbol-Soccer is based in Indianapolis, Indiana and will serve the Latino community in conjunction with the Fit City project. Working with the Indiana Youth Soccer Soccer Start Program, the club will offer a fall and spring Recreational soccer in-house program to approximately 120 Latino boys and girls in Marion County. Indy Fútbol-Soccer will offer two divisions of play, ages 12-14 and 15-17, at two locations: Kuntz Stadium and German Park in Indianapolis. Indy Fútbol-Soccer was established in 2007 as an initiative of the Indiana Latino Institute, Inc ( ILI ) and is led by President Aida McCammon and Director Jim Sieber. This FitCity sponsored initiative, will, in particular, involve Hispanic youth and their caregivers in physical activity (soccer) and educational opportunities in which they will learn about and make informed choices that lead to a healthier life style regarding fitness and nutrition. Their motto is “Make a Healthy Move/Has un movimiento saludable.”
FitCity’s (http://www.fitcity.info/index.cfm) mission is to provide children and adolescents and their caregivers with messages about obesity, good nutrition, physical activity and healthy weight, and prompt them to be more active and eat healthier so that the Greater Indianapolis area becomes one of the fittest areas in the nation. The campaign will assist programs and provide messages in communities that traditionally are underserved and at increased risk.
Indy Fútbol-Soccer is also a partner of the Indiana Youth Soccer Soccer Start program. Focused on making soccer available to lower-income children in underserved communities, Soccer Start provides soccer training and administrative guidance to players and organizations. This outreach program also helps new soccer clubs find the funding and equipment to begin and then expand their activities. Over the past several years, Indiana Youth Soccer’s Soccer Start program has donated thousands of dollars in financial support, equipment and administrative assistance to programs across the state of Indiana. Soccer Start program will help provide goals, nets, player equipment and more to Indy Fútbol-Soccer in 2007.
Indy Fútbol-Soccer has established the following goals: • To develop, promote and administer the game of soccer in Indianapolis/Marion County Indiana. • To encourage and assist in the development and growth of community partnerships, associations, organizations, programs and teams so that soccer physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle is made available to all people regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, handicap and marital or familial status and for this purpose: To provide a context for learning the importance of team work while building personal goals through soccer. To enhance the development, interest and exposure to soccer providing a safe, structured, and fun environment for learning. To develop educational support systems and physical and mental activities that provide alternatives to sedentary life styles in detriment to full productive and healthy lifestyles. To enhance personal development in an atmosphere of inclusion, diversity, and respect for others. • To develop and encourage sportsmanship and playing proficiency by all players and persons involved in soccer in Indianapolis. • To do any and all other acts necessary or desirable in the furtherance of the foregoing purposes and for the good of soccer.

Martin County Youth Soccer Indiana Youth Soccer welcomes Martin County Youth Soccer in District 15 as a new affiliate member of Indiana Youth Soccer. Martin County Youth Soccer is based in Loogootee, Indiana, and their Recreational soccer program will serve over 237 kids and 25 volunteer coaches.
Martin County Youth Soccer was established in 1987 to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for kids ranging from 5 years old to 8th Grade in the game of soccer. In their first season with Indiana Youth Soccer, Martin County Youth Soccer will initially offer a Fall Recreational program. The club hopes to expand the program to include Recreational Plus and possibly Competitive levels of soccer to help build a high school program in the local school system.
Club leadership believes the added benefits and opportunities of Indiana Youth Soccer membership will provide a firm foundation for player development and increased sport awareness in the community. Martin County Youth Soccer’s Recreational program will be played in-house, but the club may expand the program so that teams may compete against other area teams in Greene, Monroe and Sullivan Counties.

North Judson San Pierre Soccer League North Judson, Indiana (September 05, 2007) -- Indiana Youth Soccer welcomes North Judson San Pierre Soccer League in District 3 as a new affiliate member of Indiana Youth Soccer. North Judson San Pierre Soccer League is based in Starke County, Indiana, and their Fall Recreational soccer program will serve over 120 players in coed teams in three divisions: pre-K/kindergarten, 1st/2nd grade, and 3rd / 4th/5th grade.
North Judson San Pierre Soccer League was originally founded in 2005 and re-established in 2007 with a mission of providing a soccer program where kids can learn the fundamentals of soccer in a fun, positive environment. The club hopes to expand the program to offer opportunities to additional age divisions of play.
North Judson San Pierre Soccer League President Jennifer Madsen commented on the importance of community support for soccer saying, “We have had tremendous support from these and other surrounding business. Without community support, we would not be able to have a successful soccer league. ”Currently, all 14 of the club’s teams are sponsored by area businesses including: Fletcher's Carpet, Connie's Salon, L-N-S Video, Newcomer Roofing, G-2 Consulting Inc, Starke Co. Real Estate, Judson Express, Hoppe's Hardware, Patterson Realty, Main Street Floral, Burkett's Catering, Knox Moose Family Center, Wooden Nickel, and Tony's Service Station.
