"It's always refreshing to hear directly from the kids, to share their experiences and love of the game," said Indiana Youth Soccer Director of Communications Shannon Stuart.

The Indiana Youth Soccer "Why You Love To Play Soccer Contest" invited all Indiana Youth Soccer players to submit a short essay on the reasons they love soccer. All eligible entries received by the due date were entered into a drawing for complimentary Chicago Fire tickets. Congratulations and thank you to all who entered. Winners will be contacted directly with additional information.

Here are just a few reasons why these players love to play soccer....

"It feels so good getting a goal....I also like winning, but I don't mind losing."

"You can make so many friends in the game of soccer. This is how I met some friends that are now my best friends."

"I like playing a team sport, because if you make a mistake, the team is always there to help you improve and to encourage you to do everything well."

"Soccer has been great in keeping me in shape and much stronger than a lot of girls my age...I am tough."

"I usually score at least one point a game, but if I don't, that's ok."

"I love the teamwork and effort put into the game. Although it takes a lot of practice and attention, I believe it is worth it."
