| Let the Games Begin - Indiana State Cup & Challenge Cup 2007 |

Indiana Youth Soccer will host over 6,000 players representing over 450 teams at the Indiana State Cup and Indiana Challenge Cup tournament preliminary rounds to be held this weekend at seven sites across the state. The Indiana State Cup is part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series while the Indiana Challenge Cup is a State Championship Series. The tournaments will feature teams from Under-11 to Under-19 age groups.
The Indiana State Cup and Indiana Challenge Cup semi-final and final rounds will be played June 1-3, 2007 at Hefner Fields in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Indiana State Cup winners and select runners-up will qualify to be among top boys and girls US Youth Soccer teams from 14 state associations competing for regional titles in six age groups June 22-27, 2007 at the US Youth Soccer Region II Regional Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. Regional winners of the Under-14 through Under-19 brackets earn a berth at the 2007 US Youth Soccer National Championships to be played July 25-29, 2007 in Frisco, Texas.
Seven clubs including: Fort Wayne United Soccer Association, Indiana Invaders F.C., Westfield Youth Soccer Association, Carmel United Soccer Club, Columbus Express Soccer Club, Cutters Soccer Club and Gibson County Youth Soccer were named to host the 2007 Indiana State Cup and Indiana Challenge Cup series. Host site selections were based on location, fields/facilities and volunteer support. “This event would not be possible without the commitment of organizations like these and their network of supporting volunteers," said Indiana Youth Soccer Executive Director Don Rawson.
