Indiana Youth Soccer is proud to recognize players from Indiana who have been named to National Team training or match rosters.
US Youth Soccer ODP Boys 1991 Regional Teams to Compete in Argentina
Courtesy of US Youth Soccer Players from the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Boys 1991 Regional Teams will travel to Argentina on Saturday, February 17, to participate in a series of friendly matches with teams from the top clubs in Argentina. The annual event, known as the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys International Festival, features teams from each of the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys Regional Teams as well as four Argentinean clubs.
In addition to the US Youth Soccer ODP Staff Coaches, U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team Assistant Coach Raul Diaz Arce will be in attendance to further evaluate current members of his U.S. Soccer Residency Program and potential national team players.

U-15 National Team Training to Include Indiana Player
Courtesy of US Soccer The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team will be starting a weeklong training camp on Feb. 17 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The U-15 BNT will have three games through the course of the week, on Feb. 19, 21, and 23, with opponents yet to be decided. The camp will run through Sat., Feb. 24 with head coach Jim Barlow leading the 24 players. Perry Kitchen (Indiana 92 Boys) of Indianapolis, Indiana has been named to the roster and will attend the training camp in February. U.S. WNT Report to Training Camp for 2007 Algarve Cup
Courtesy of US Youth Soccer Coming off a championship at the 2007 Four Nations Tournament in China at the end of January, the U.S. Women’s National Team returns to training on Wednesday with a 28-player camp running from Feb. 14-21 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
Following the camp, U.S. head coach Greg Ryan will name 20 players that will travel to the 14th annual Algarve Cup, to be played from March 7-14, 2007, in southern Portugal.
To open the Algarve Cup on March 7, the USA will play China for the second time in a row this year, with just 36 days separating the matches. The two teams last met in the final match of the Four Nations Tournament on Jan. 30 in Guangzhou, China, a 2-0 U.S. win that clinched the tournament title.
The Americans, who have been drawn into Group B at the prestigious Algarve Cup, will also face Finland on March 9 and finish first-round play against Sweden on March 12. All three of the USA’s first round matches will be played at 4:15 p.m. local time / 11:15 a.m. ET. All the first round games are played at small venues spread out over the Algarve region on the southern coast of the country with all of the placement matches taking place on March 14. Ryan also continues to invest in numerous young players, including uncapped defenders Rachel Buehler and Keeley Dowling, both starters on the U.S. team that won the 2002 FIFA Under-19 Women’s World Championship in Canada.
