Indiana Youth Soccer Welcomes The Jay County Firebirds

Indiana Youth Soccer welcomes the Jay County Firebirds as the newest affiliate member of Indiana Youth Soccer. Jay County Firebirds is based in East Central Indiana and will serve youth soccer players, ages 4 through 14, primarily through a recreational youth soccer league. This spring, the club expects to field twelve to sixteen recreational teams and one to three rec-plus or travel teams.

The Jay County Firebirds will offer soccer in a county not currently served by existing Indiana Youth Soccer-based soccer programs. Jay County Firebirds President Chuck Wendel is optimistic about the opportunities and benefits of Indiana Youth Soccer membership for their club. The next "closest club is 40 minutes away. This club will provide the youth of Jay County and surrounding areas a place to play and learn the great game of soccer," explained Wendel. "The benefits of partnering with Indiana Youth Soccer will be enormous."
