2008 Region II Coaching Symposium at Bowling Green

The Region II Coaches Program in cooperation US Soccer is conducting their annual Coaching Symposium at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.The program will be held indoors at Olscamp Hall on Friday, February 29th and at the University Fieldhouse on Saturday and Sunday, March 1ST and 2nd.The program will end at noon on March 2nd. This Regional Symposium is being jointly sponsored by Region II, adidas, Ohio Youth Soccer Association-North and Ohio South Youth Soccer Association, in cooperation with Bowling Green State University. 2 CEU’s will be awarded for attending the symposium.

The purpose of the program is to delve into non-traditional aspects of coaching. Current and Former members of US Regional Coaching Staff and others will give both practical field sessions and classroom presentations. In addition, reports on regional and national teams will be presented.

All of the Region II states are encouraged to invite their:
State Directors of Coaching
State Team Coaches (Boys and Girls)
District Team Coaches (Boys and Girls)
Midwest League Coaches and Assistants (Boys and Girls)
Club Directors of Coaching (Boys and Girls)
Competitive Club Coaches (Boys and Girls)
Other Interested Coaches (Boys and Girls)

The registration fee for the full event, including the Saturday night dinner (Ron Wigg Awards Banquet) is $85.00 if the payment is received by January 31st. Registration is $95.00 for all registrations received by February 25th. Registration at the door is $105.00. You may deduct $10.00 if you do not wish to attend the banquet. Advance Registration Participants will receive a T-shirt compliments of adidas. NO SHIRT WILL BE GUARANTEED FOR THOSE REGISTERING ONSITE. If there are any extras, we may distribute them on Saturday. The registration fee includes the symposium, educational materials, the Ron Wigg Awards Banquet and a box lunch on Saturday.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation, accommodations and meals during the symposium, except for the box lunch and the Ron Wigg Banquet.
