Harmon Elected Lifetime Member of United States Soccer Federation

Larry Harmon, Indianapolis, was elected a lifetime member of the United States Soccer Federation at the 2009 US Soccer Annual General Meeting and Convention in Orlando, Florida March 13-14. 

Harmon is a former past-president of Indiana Youth Soccer (1993-2000) and founder of the Indiana Soccer Foundation. He is a former US Youth Soccer board member at Large from 2000-2007 and Youth Representative to the US Soccer Federation 2000-2006. Harmon served on the Women's Development Committee from 1996-1998 and with U.S. Soccer's Project 2010 and the Project Gold Task Force to help steer U.S. Soccer's future.

Harmon served as the Local Organizing Committee Chair for the 1996 US Youth Soccer National Championships, as well as, the 1988 US Youth Soccer Region II Championships. He received the Mike Vogel Humanitarian Award in 1997 and was inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame in 2000. In July 2008, the Under-16 Boys National Championship Cup was renamed to honor Harmon.
