South Africa Here We Come!

Hopefully none of you will have to check into the home above!  Remember that it's just soccer!  While it is important for your child that you are there to support him/her, remember that your whole self worth doesn't depend on the outcome of the games.  It's the smile on your child's face that should matter at the end of the day and that they enjoy their soccer experience.

Have Fun!! (Vince Ganzberg, Indiana Youth Soccer)

WC Bound!!!
The USA qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa with a 3-2 win in Honduras on Saturday night. This will be the 6th straight trip to the finals after 40 years (1950-1990) in the the soccer wilderness. The achievement merited mention on all the major sports shows on Sunday. Who says the culture doesn't change!

Congratulations to..
Joey Haupt (Jackson, Everest) who was invited to train for a week at the U-17 National Team residency camp in Bradenton, FL in Spetember.

Nathan Shultz (Highland Heights, Ambassadors), Alex Campana (Twinsburg, PFC), and Jacob Lagania (North Royalton, NEO Soccer) who have been invited to play on the 1996 Regional teams (older / younger) at Disney next month.  Prayag Jina (Aurora, Ambassadors), Alec Nagucki  (Medina, Ambassadors), and Sjtepan Bojic (Mentor, Croatia Cleveland) were names as alternates.

On the girl's side, Sarah Molina (Rocky River, Cleveland FC) and Kristen Westphall (Canton, Internationals) were named to the 1993 Regional Team and Regan Robishaw (Perry, Internationals) and Courtney Kobashigawa (Mansfield, Ohio Premier South) were named to the 1994 Regional team.
