The 2009 Region II Coaches Symposium is scheduled for Friday, February 27th through Sunday, March 1st at Bowling Green State University.
The headline for the event is "Player Assessment and the TeamBuilding Process" and attending coaches will be involved in practical discussion groups after each session. Region II ODP and US Youth National Team players will provide the live pictures at the event. Jay Hoffman (WUSA, NASL, MISL Coach; '99 WNT Assistant; US Soccer National Instructional Staff; Region I Boy's ODP Head Coach; Virginia Rush Head Coach) will be the featured clinician on Saturday. Jay will talk about how playing personalities have impacted his team selections over the years; and also give two field demonstrations on how to influences attacking and defending ideas in practice. Roy enjoyed a 24 year professional career and has worked with top EPL 'keepers Brad Friedel and Shea Given. Roy is a recognized FIFA Assessor and will present two GK sessions: the first on developing individual technique; the second on training GK's to experience tactical situations.
