In 1994, the United States proudly hosted the FIFA World Cup despite ciritcism from many in the soccer world. The 1994 World Cup became arguably the most successful World Cup in history, and as a result, kicked off a soccer revolution in the United States. Now, fifteen years later, the US Soccer Federation is once again trying to bring this event back to the United States in either 2018 or 2022. Your help is needed to make this happen! Several cities have been selected as potential hosts for games if the US receives the World Cup bid. In fact, the Metro-Detroit area has TWO cities up for contention - Detroit (Ford Field) and Ann Arbor (Michigan Stadium). If you want to watch the World Cup games live in your own backyard, help bring the World Cup to Metro-Detroit by clicking here!
It's time to build on the prior success and bring the World Cup back to the United States! By hosting the 2018 or 2022 World Cup, we can once again prove our place in the soccer world and inspire a new generation of soccer fans.
