1994-95 RSC Lightning White Age Group Team

Last June 2009 we formed the U15B Lightning white team. The RSC 1995 Lightning white team is an "open tryout" team that will select the most competitive players from any community. This past year we have player’s on the team from Troy, Washington, Warren, Grand Blanc, Utica, Shelby Twp, Harrison Twp, Rochester and Rochester Hills. With June 2010 tryouts scheduled, we encourage any player that is series about soccer, from any community, to attend our tryouts. Our goal is to select the most competitive players for our team. We do have an excellent core group of players to build on. For the 2010-2011 seasons we are looking for new players that are willing to work hard to improve skills, endurance and understanding of a Brazilian style of play. (Brazil leads the world with 5 world cup championships). We are looking for a premier level goalie. (If you have a conflict with attending tryouts as posted, contact the coach for other tryout opportunities). We will play in the MSPSP league, premier division. Added competition comes from attending three or more competitive tournaments and state cup in the spring. You will compete against MRL and other premier teams. Post high school, we will train two times per week with an indoor 11 v 11 game. Training will continue with two or more practices per week with games, tournaments and state cup in our spring 2011 outdoor season. This past season we played competitively in the premier 1 and attend three elite level competitive tournaments in Ohio and state cup. In our tournaments we successfully compete against MRL and premier level teams. This past season we were plagued with a number of injuries fielding most league games with 11-13 players. As a result we did not have as many wins as we have seen in prior season. Our goal at this year’s tryouts will be to identify players that are willing to work hard, improve skills, endurance and that are coachable. A Brazilian style of play requires a great first touch, vision of the field, accurate passing and disciplined movement on and off the ball. We are looking for team players that love to play. We look forward to tryouts and the formation of our 2010-2011 team. Players will play high school in the fall, returning to play club indoor over the winter and outdoor in the spring. Fees are competitively priced. Players that cannot afford the cost of premier level play should discuss this with the coach. Fees should not stop a talented player from playing on a premier team. The 1994-95 age group RSC Lightning white team is coached by Tom Cardinal a US National and Brazilian B licensed coach with over 24 years of succussful coaching experience.
