State Pool Training
Players that have been invited
or in previous year’s
ODP State “ Spring ” Pool or ODP State Team
are the only players allowed to attend.
Eligible players born in 96,95, 94, 93, 92, 91 can attend once they have been
recommended.
Cost: Registration Fee $10 (one time only fee)
$30 for two training sessions
$20 for one training session.
$35 if walk-up (players are encouraged to pre-register)
Pool training usually consists of two training sessions
in one day.
State Pool training @ Regional
Locations or “Regional
Pool” training for the 96, 95, 94, 93 (non high school)
are for players that have been identified through an ODP
District Training session. These players attend State Pool
Training session “regionally” in September
and October. From November until April the players in these
age groups will then all train in a location in Central
Indiana .
High School State Pool training starts in November and
ends in April. The ODP staff will reduce the ODP state
pool for the 94, 93, 92, and 91 age groups in either late
February or March. This is also called the ODP “ Spring ” Pool.
In March and April, only ODP “ Spring ” Pool players will be allowed
to attend, unless approved by the ODP Coaching Committee. Any referrals need
to be made in writing at least 2 weeks prior to ODP State Pool Training session

The 96 and 95 age group staff will not reduce that ODP
State Pool in 2007-2008.
At end of April, ODP State Team/Group is selected from players in the ODP State
Pools.
Selection Date
The planned ODP Selection
date for all age groups is April 13 th, 2008 . On
April 13th, players from the ODP State Pool are selected
to make an ODP State Team. Players are strongly encouraged
to be in attendance that day. A $100 non-refundable deposit
will be required for ODP Camp/Tournament that players
will attend in July.
Commitment
Attend ODP State Pool Training
sessions (if you don’t
come-we can’t see you)
- Players must attend prior to
the ODP “Spring Pool” date or
by late February.
- After Pool selection date the only way for a new player to attend is approval
of the ODP Coaching Committee.
Players may be released from the ODP State Pool after
the staff has seen them for two training dates if they
have come between September (non high school)/November
(high school) to the end of February.
State Teams will be listed on the Indiana
Youth Soccer website by Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 .
- 96 boys select up to 50 players (the number of players
may be higher)
- 95 boys select up to 36 players. These 36 players
will be divided into two teams by birth month. Example:
One team will consist of players born from January-June.
The other team will consist of players born from July-December.
- 94 boys select up to 36 players plus 4. These 36 players
will be divided into two teams by birth month. Example:
One team will consist of players born from January-June.
The other team will consist of players born from July-December.
- 93 Boys will select up to 36 players plus 4 alternates.
These 36 players will be divided into two teams by abilities.
- 91 and 92 boys will select up to 18 players plus 4
alternates. These players will be chosen by abilities.
These two teams will play in an ODP Tournament.
- 96 girls will select up to 36 (the number of players
may be higher)
- 95 girls will select up to 36 (the number of players
may be higher)
- 94 girls will select up to 36 players plus 4 alternates.
These 36 players will be divided into two teams by birth
month. Example: One team will consist of players born
from January-June. The other team will consist of players
born from July-December.
- 93 girls will select up to 36 players plus 4 alternates.
These 36 players will be divided into two teams by abilities.
- 91 and 92 girls will select up to 18 players plus
4 alternates. These players will be chosen by abilities.
These two teams will play in an ODP Tournament.
- In July,
all age groups attend a Regional Camp or Tournament
- From Regional Camp/Tournament, players may be identified from each state
to make a Regional Pool.
- From the Regional Pool, players are then identified to be into the Regional
Team.
- The Regional Team players are then identified to be into the National
Pool.
- The National Pools then make up the National Teams.
